  • How does GLAM on the GO support beauticians in owning and operating their own luxury business?
GLAM on the GO supports beauticians by providing a comprehensive setup, including fully-equipped salons, premium beauty products, and complete management of all operational activities. This allows beauticians to focus on delivering top-tier beauty services directly to customers' doorsteps while the business handles the operational details for seamless success.
  • What are the working hours in this business?
Our working hours are flexible, allowing you to set a schedule that fits your lifestyle. In the UAE, especially during festive seasons and religious events like Ramadan, there may be a higher demand for night shifts or unconventional hours. Many professionals prefer beauty services outside of typical business hours, and we see a growing trend toward offering appointments during evenings and nights. We encourage you to explore these opportunities to meet the unique needs of your clients.
  • What kind of beauty services the mobile vans are built for?
The vans are designed to accommodate a very large spectrum of hair and aesthetic services, however we can somewhat customize your van if you are the sole owner, depending on your requirements. If you are for example a hair stylist, and you would like to team up with a nail technician or nail artist, we can accommodate the setup accordingly.
  • What are the regular monthly operating expenses in the UAE?
Besides the usual salon operation cost (products and materials), operating a mobile salon, if it is well maintained, is possibly one of the cheapest of most business budgets. You need fuel for your van, which in the Middle East is low cost as well as the regular maintenance, which we also can provide for you through our maintenance partner for the car and for the salon as well, and you need to have a reliable accountant.
  • How much can I earn monthly in this business?
Your monthly earnings will depend on your specialization, the level of services you provide, and the time you invest in your work. With our model, the income range typically varies between $11,000 and $22,000 per month in case of the fully owned business model, per mobile salon. Our partners may invest in multiple salon units and apply our other collaboration models to operate those.
  • How many hours per day/week do I need to work in this business?
Our policy requires that you provide a minimum of 36 appointment slots per week, which we help fill with customer bookings. Each appointment typically lasts 45 minutes, though this may vary depending on the specific service booked. Your calendar is automatically managed to include travel time to the customer’s location, as well as breaks, ensuring a balanced and manageable schedule.
  • How can I increase my earnings?
In addition to maximizing your appointment schedule, you can boost your income by selling home beauty products provided by our professional beauty product manufacturers. Additionally, working evening or night shifts can increase your earnings, as these appointments often include after-hours fees. We also offer professional training to help you expand your skill set, allowing you to offer more specialized and luxurious treatments, which can further increase your income per visit.
  • How can you help me set up my business license in the UAE?
We make setting up your business in the UAE simple and affordable. Through our expert partner, we secure the most cost-effective professional business license that covers all the beauty-related activities you need to get started. We don’t add any extra charges to your fees because our goal is to help you launch your business as quickly and easily as possible. In addition, we assist with obtaining your UAE visa and offer support with your relocation to the country.
  • What additional expenses I can expect to start this business besides the cost of the Mobile Salon?
You need to relocate to the UAE if you personally would like to operate this business. Relocation cost is entirely up to you but definitely we can help you though it by guiding you to the best possible options. Other than this, you need to: - get your UAE business license and visa. All together these are approximately minimum $3,500. The following are relatively very small amounts compared to the above but it is important to know about these: - Local Driving License (exchange of existing non-UAE license) ~ $100 - 300 - Professional Liability Insurance TBD - Vehicle Insurance (Salon) TBD These are the upfront expenses you need to get started.
  • Do I need to travel to the UAE to start the business setup procedure and the partnership?
Not necessary. It is always gives fundamental experience if you visit the country and meet us face to face but technically everything can be managed for the setup remotely. If you want to save the cost of the trip, you can do that.
  • Can I work with you as an employee?
We operate as a franchise, where our partners (franchisees) are beauticians who run their own businesses. However, if you are a high-end specialist, you may send us your CV and/or professional website or social media profile link. We can evaluate your expertise and specialties in case one of our beauticians is interested in teaming up. Please note that while we’re open to exploring these opportunities, we cannot guarantee that a match will happen quickly.
  • Do I need to have a driving license in the UAE to operate these vans?
Yes, if you plan to drive the vehicles yourself, you must have a valid UAE driving license. The process of obtaining a UAE license varies depending on the country where your current license was issued. We will provide you with guidance on where and how to get your UAE license issued. Additionally, if you need to change the type of your license—for example, if you have a manual license but want to drive an automatic vehicle—you will need to pass the UAE automatic driving test to make the switch.
  • What does it mean if a van has manual or automatic transmission?
The difference between manual and automatic transmission is crucial when choosing a van, as availability may vary. It's important to note that your driving license type determines what you can drive—if you have a manual license, you can drive both manual and automatic vehicles, but if you have an automatic-only license, you are restricted to automatic vehicles. Make sure you have the correct license for the type of van you select.
  • Do I need to drive the van?
Driving the van is entirely up to you. If you prefer not to drive, you can hire a professional driver on a permanent or occasional basis. However, we've specifically chosen vehicle models that are easy to drive and can be operated with a standard driving license, making it convenient if you decide to drive the van yourself. The flexibility is yours!
